A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"food is good. duck is good. sweet n sour fried fish is a little bit sweet. place is good. there are private room for us to celebratw events. but too overprices. one table is more than 2.500 HKD"
"I haven't had Chiu Chow cuisine for a long time. All of their dishes met my expectations. The restaurant wasn't crowded on a week night. Service was okay and the dining room was decorated uniquely."
"Great restaurant with great food! I recommend making a reservation in advance as they are usually fully booked on weekday nights. Their raw crab was amazing! Extremely flavourful and rich! The rest were good but nothing extraordinary. Do note that it can be quite pricey. Total damage was around SGD$300+"
"Environment is clean comfortable, not the luxurious type, distance between tables is spacious. Food is of high standard, not oily nor overly seasoned. Goose liver in marinated sauce is silky smooth, crab in soy sauce is a must for "raw" crab fan. You can order any dish or soup blindly and savour..."
"Authenticated Chiu chow restaurant, food tasted yummy, friendly service, reasonable price, comfy seatings"
"It is rare to find a restaurant located in a Grade III historic building in downtown Hong Kong. The place has recently renewed its menu with 1–2 person portions of dishes, which is friendly to those who have a hard time choosing. We ordered the following dishes: 1⃣ Shark Fin Soup (魚翅海皇羹) You can taste the sweetness of dried scallops and the savoriness of Jinhua ham in the thick soup base, which also includes dried scallops and shark fin. The fin comes both whole and shredded. Though the amount of ingredients is limited, as a complimentary soup, there’s no complaint. 6.5/10 2⃣ Chiu Chow Fried Fish Noodles (精緻潮州炒魚麵) The minced fish is shaped into noodles and stir-fried with bean sprouts, sliced red lantern pepper, celery, and yellow chives. However, the fish noodles lack bounce, and the seasoning is very light, failing to bring out the dish’s flavor. 5/10 3⃣ Stir-fried Kway Teow with Shacha Beef (沙茶牛肉炒粿條) The portion is generous, topped with tender and juicy beef coated in fragrant, savory Shacha sauce that’s not overly salty. You can taste the rice flavor in the smooth, slightly chewy kway teow, which is easy to bite. It’s also served with bunches of Chinese kale. Definitely a satisfying and fulfilling dish. Highly recommended. 10/10 4⃣ Crispy Taro Net with Farm Duck (精緻荔芋香酥鵝) The taro net is light, crispy, and not oily. You need to be extremely careful when picking it up, or it will shred apart. The taro is mashed with lard, giving it a firm texture without distinct particles. The deboned goose is pan-fried directly in oil, amplifying its rich, savory, and addictive aroma. Seasoned with five-spice powder, it’s flavorful enough even without the provided kumquat oil. A dish that showcases the chef’s skill. 10/10 5⃣ Stir-fried Morning Glory in Bean Paste (豆醬炒時蔬) As an add-on item from the lunch menu at a discounted price of $20, you can choose between morning glory or lettuce. The bean paste is lightly salted, making the dish surprisingly non-salty and non-oily. It could be more flavorful, but it nicely refreshes the palate among the richer dishes. 5/10 6⃣ Osmanthus Tea (菊花茶) Very bland and tasteless. 2/10 #陳儀興尚潮樓 The lunch menu offers great value. I recommend visiting for a business lunch with partners or a family lunch with elderly members. The waitress was also very caring, guiding us to the lift since we had a pregnant woman in our group."
"Shark Fin & Seafood Thick Soup Marinate Goose Combo Pan-fried Baby Oysters Cake Deep-fried Pu Ning Bean Curd Braised Yellow Croaker Fish with Pu Ning Fermented Yellow Bean Sauce Braised Mustard Greens with Conpoy in Casserole Deep-fried Minced Pork and Water Chesnuts Dumpling Stir-fried Chicken Fillet with Chili Sauce Great marinated goose restaurant in Prince Edward area.! Definitely one of the best!"
"One of the best restaurant serving Chiuchu dishes. Reasonable price, good services and booking is a must. All dishes are above standard, special advance reserve dishes such as raw crab/ prawns, fried chicken with stickyrice are not to be missed."
